Junior EDI Coordinator

ONYX is a worldwide distributor and marketer of specialty automotive products. We arecurrently seeking an extremely detail oriented, responsible and hard-working EDI Coordinator dedicated to its automotive ecommerce segment CARiD.com.

In a nutshell, we are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, performance driven EDI Coordinator to assist our already outstanding Vendor Relations team.  You must have the ability to adapt to our business while being a strong participant in team efforts to assist us in delivering best in class customer service.  This position contributes to ensure our extraordinary corporate culture remains sustainable with diversified talent and 'tricked-out' fun workplace atmosphere.  We at ONYX are trend setters and our Vendor Relations team is no different, doing great things for people!

The EDI Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance and daily support of Onyx's EDI processes.  This position will be responsible for maintaining, updating, troubleshooting, and solving issues found in EDI -- insuring data is accurate and working efficiently.  This position is part of the Vendor Relations Group and works closely with vendors directly, Vendor Net, and internal Onyx personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Daily review of EDI transactions and resolution of transactions containing errors or failures
  • Working with the appropriate departments to resolve errors or failures
  • Review of customer specifications and testing of maps to ensure EDI transactions are successfully implemented
  • On-board new Trading Partners, acting as liaison between vendor and 3rd party EDI provider
  • Assist in new trading partner setup, testing and administration
  • Assist with EDI projects and communicate directly with vendors
  • Update and maintain documentation for the EDI platform and processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of EDI document formats and details needed to perform daily operations
  • Prior experience with Vendor Net is a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Windows OS required
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Have a positive and energetic attitude in the workplace
  • Driven to improve customer satisfaction, both internally and externally
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times in high pressure situations
  • Excellent communication skills; able to discuss technical issues with non-technical staff

Education and Experience

  • AA/AS is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in corporate retail or wholesale
  • Prior EDI experience required
  • Experience in Vendor Net a plus
  • Desire to be part of a fast-paced, growing environment
